Nature Walk in Woodland Creek

Today John and Jess went to their friend's wedding, so mom and I went down the street to The Woodland Creek Community Center and Park, where there is a few nature trails. It was rainy (as it normally is in Seattle), and it was really pretty! We saw like 4 diffrent types of moss. It was pretty cool. And very wet. (Especially on the playground-I had to change my pants.) We also saw a bunch of  giant pussy-willow bushes. When we reached the end of the marked trail, there was a bridge, (mom seemed to think it wasn't stable), and once you crossed the bridge, there were these deserted train tracks. After we turned around and made it back to where we started, we went down a un-marked trail. It didn't have a sign saying "Hey, this is a trail!" or anything. You could tell, though, because it was very packed down. I'm reading Harry Potter right now, so I took some videos and acted as though we were in the wizarding world. So, here are some pictures of what we saw. One of my favorites is the rusty lawnmower. We were behind some apartment buildings, so that explains alot. We also saw a shopping cart (o.O) but I didn't manage to take a picture. :(

Lazy Day!

Today we didn't do much. My brother, my mom, and I went to go pick up John's tuxedo. He's going to his friends wedding, with Jess. I took this cool picture.

Today was very rainy. After we got John's tux, we went to a Thai restaurant. I got Pad Thai. John ordered a Thai tea, but he didn't want it, so I took it and he took my water. The tea was very good. It was really sweet. Then John and Jess went to the wedding rehearsal and mom and I watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, since I just finished that book.

Museum of Glass

Today we went to the Museum of Glass. It was really cool. There was some really cool exhibits. We went to a place called "The Hot Shop", which is where the team of trained glass-blowers  made blown-glass sculptures. There was a presentation, and we didn't get to stay for the whole thing, but we were there for most of it. It was really cool. They dipped a metal pole into melted glass that was around 500 degrees farenheit! Then the team rolled it around in mid-air to shape it. Next, they had someone roll it, and someone blow into the tube. It was really, really cool. I got 3 little glass ladybugs in the glass-shop. Some of those glass pieces in there were from $450 to $3,000! That's crazy! I don't know where we are going tomorow, though. Here are a few links to some intresting things about the Museum of Glass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrEnKRnBUO4

P.S. We are 3 hrs. behind the time at home. So when it's midnight there, I'm still awake! on the day we flew in, I didn't go to bed till midnight HERE!

The Flight!

This first picture is a picture of the run-way parking lot from the ground. The first few are from around 10,000 ft. up. Those are the ones that you can still see the ground, and those are the first flight, from Manchester to Chicago. The sun-set ones are the 2nd flight, from Chicago to Washington. It was too beautiful to capture in a picture! Luckily, we didn't have any layovers except one which was only 35 minutes, so that made the  flight seem a lot quicker.
